Arise, Ye Buffalo Wing Aficionados – Take Your Place In The Hall of Ghost Chili Warriors!
Once again unto the breach, buffalo wing ninjas and ninjettes alike! Landshark’s Pizza Co. is excitedly proud to bring you another Destin tradition for hot wing fanatics who have the courage – indeed, the big brass ones – to handle our Ghost Chili Hot Wing Eating Contest on June 21, 2013.
Of course, everybody around here knows that Landshark’s Pizza Company of Destin has always been a local’s favorite pizza joint (being ever humble, we refuse to brag – this is because we’re so awesome), but even among the hundreds of wing masters that walk through our doors there remains a select few who stand heads, shoulders, and tongues above the rest.
And thus, monthly, we issue the call to see who, for that month at least, is the king or queen of the hot wing – the high muck-a-muck of munching. So, it’s time for yet another grand display of wing-eating skills, be ye a beloved local or an adventurous tourist. You are enthusiastically invited to participate or cheer on those who have the stones to give it a go:

This carefully-organized (chuckle) event will certainly attract everybody from elite NBA and NFL stars (not) to local beach bums (definitely) – we don’t turn anybody away as long as they’re willing to sign the waiver and submit themselves to a delightfully delicious inferno. All challengers who finish 10 wings in under 10 minutes get swag and a t shirt. The Winner receives all that, The Crystal Trophy and a $20 Bar Tab!!!

We regret to announce that we still haven’t been able to locate several people’s tongues that detached from their heads and ran off during the last contest – we are currently having pictures of said tongues printed on milk cartons and featured in Amber Alerts.
